The purchase and the production of heat modules enable accounting for the purchase of heat with suppliers and company heat production costing. It provides balance information on input to the heating system. Basic technical and administrative heat plants information can be entered and supervised in the program. It keeps detailed quantitative and valuable accounts with suppliers. Purchase of heat from different suppliers and heat plants can be managed.
Heat sale is managed by automated and fully configurable billing process. The rating can be modified easily, and invoicing well adapted for unique contractual conditions. Accounting periods can be freely established by the user. Every customer can have any number of consumers where the consumption type and amount is user defined. Consumption type templates are user defined, too.
System generates invoices automatically, basing on measured quantities or contractual amounts. Corrections of input or invoiced amounts are easy. Receivables and payments are realized by standard Microsoft Dynamics Nav functionality, including reminders, interest notes and others.
Meters’ readouts can be input to the readouts journal from reading devices, from other computer files or from the keyboard. The system controls the correctness of readouts, tests the completeness of readouts and is committing calculations using freely defined algorithms and structures for different measuring devices and their groups. It automatically calculates heat quantities for meters shutdown periods. Legalization and repair exchanges of measuring devices are supported. Overturning of the abacus is controlled and taken into consideration during calculations automatically. All meters’ readouts are registered in meters’ entries.
The structure of district heating network and its key elements like nods, pipes, consumers and meters can be represented in Microsoft Dynamics Nav ENERGIA – taking their technological connections into consideration. They can be grouped by business and organizational dimensions – like business groups, exploitation areas, workers' brigades and standard Microsoft Dynamics Nav dimensions.
Nodes represent essential places of district heating system – heat plants, heat exchanger stations, network chambers, jet pumps, branches and others. The essential information concerning nodes is contained in node cards.
Consumers of heat, delivered by district heating enterprise, are catalogued in cards containing needed consumption and technological data. Specific sales rules could be defined on this level in the so called ‘measurands’. Consumers are grouped by customer and place of connection to the district heating network. Consumers can be represented on invoice lines and sales reports. Consumer’s entries collect heat delivery and sales historical data.
District heating network representation is made up of segments, nodes and consumers. Each segment can represent several pipes, connected as separate pipelines (like tap hot water pipeline, water heating pipeline, steam pipeline etc.). Technical parameters, flow medium parameters and flow direction can be determined separately for each pipe. Network segments and pipes are divided according to user defined types, with type specific units.
Meters are bound with the place of the heat (or other medium) measurement. Business conditions and technological structure of this measurement is defined in that place. This allows defining physical metering device (meter) or determining the rules to calculate the consumption according to not metered data (like square meters, number of people, etc.) in that place. Physical metering device elements, parameters, maintenance rules can be described in equipment card.
Balances of the district heating system can be juxtaposed freely using the tools built in Microsoft Dynamics Nav Energia. They are enabling analysis and balancing of heat consumption, thermal power, heat losses and water losses - for the date or period, both for the entire system as well as part of it. Calculated values could be compared with real data. Quantities as well as sales amounts could be balanced. Balancing is calculated basing on the network structure, along chosen pipeline.
